Passage of S.J. Res. 18 by the House -- sending the Joint Resolution commemorating the 25th anniversary of the IGAct to the White House for signature by the President.

House of Representatives Suspensions: The House agreed to suspend the rules and pass the following measures:

Commending the Inspectors General for their service to the Federal Government: S.J. Res. 18,commending the Inspectors General for their efforts to prevent and detect waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement, and to promote economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in the Federal Government during the past 25 years by a 2/3 yea-and-nay vote of 326 yeas to 3 nays, Roll No. 621 clearing the measure for the President; Pages H11174, H11184[The three nay votes on S.J.Res. 18 were cast by Chris Chocola (R-IN), JeffMiller (R-FL) and Mark Souder (R-IN). Additionally, Cong. Mac Collins,Michael Oxley, and Mary Bono were absent during the vote but inserted statements that they would have voted "yea" on S.J.Res. 18]
